Injectable fillers such as collagen, restylane, and others tend
to be reabsorbed by the lips rapidly and offer only short-term
improvement. Long-lasting options include lip implants or a
procedure developed by Dr. Bresnick known as the Permalip Procedure.
Lip implants can be inserted through tiny incisions concealed
inside the mouth in the corners of the lips. Several different
types of implants are available, each with select advantages

Dr. Bresnick has also developed a new lip advancement procedure
which gives a fuller and poutier appearance to the upper lip.
This procedure is known as the Permalip Procedure. The technique
allows the skin behind the upper lip to be moved into the lip
itself to increase its’ fullness and contour. The procedure
is easily performed under local anesthesia in less than an hour
and gives permanent results. The first two patients shown in
the photos on this site have had the Permalip Procedure on their
upper lip and lip augmentation with a lip implant for their
lower lip.

Dr. Bresnick
completed his plastic surgery training at prestigious
Stanford Univeristy Hospital, and then taught plastic
surgery at USC medical school before entering private
practice. He is a lip surgery expert and his experience
includes hundreds of cleft lip surgical repairs
for children and many hundreds of cosmetic lip procedures
for adults. He has authored many articles and books,
lectures nationally., and is active in plastic surgery
research so that he may offer the newest, best,
and safest care to his patients.
Dr. Bresnick is certified by the American Board
of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American
Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has been recently
featured on nationally televised programs including
The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Extra!,
CBS News, and NBC News. He has authored over twenty
articles in plastic surgery and science journals
and lectures nationally in plastic surgery.
